“What if I am most happy in the space of in between? Where calm lives.”

Some time back, I came across a text that boggled me in a way that as I read into it, for a split second, I doubted whether or not I had written it myself. The text is brilliantly laid out and clear as a whistle in regards to the content it shares. And, no, this is not what lead to the figure of speech; it was going through a sequence of “oh, my God, oh, my God!” moments all the way to the very end because it was such a spot on expression of so many of my feelings and dilemmas.

I’ve always coined myself as a moderate with quite some pride, I should say. I don’t feel comfortable in the extremes. To come to think of it, I absolutely love the middle, where there’s no black or white, good or bad, perfect or imperfect, ugly or pretty, but room for doubt and contemplation about what really defines life… Isn’t it all this and aren’t we all that? I don’t know. But because I feel comfort in that space in between, and because life is truly a process, I can throw it out there for grabs. Because “I am a mom who delights in her kids, but needs time for herself”, “a mediocre home manager, who rarely dusts and mostly maintains order, and makes real food, but sometimes buys pizza (...)”  who budgets, “but then breaks her own rules and pushes back against rigidity”. And, so much more… (read the full text here; knowing you, I know you’ll relate and appreciate)!

I read this text while in the process of creating a structure for what I do in order to better share with you beyond our weekly meetups, which really tap into my inner joy and help me express my very happy self. And, then, oh, my God, oh my God..! The author hit me with this: “I write because I have something to say and I invest in a small community of woman I care about (...)” (and who invest and care about me!) “(...) and encourage them to love and care for themselves well.” (while they, in return, give me the opportunity to love and care for myself!).

This is an ode to you, who makes your life count on your own terms because you are amazing just the way you are, inspire me and make my life that much better.

Thank you!
